Heritage Fall Mixed Sale Reports 77% Gross Increase OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—OCTOBER 28, 2007—The largest Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale since 1990, with 659 horses cataloged, saw increases in every category on October 26-27 in Oklahoma City.
Gross sales jumped 77% to $3,427,000 over last year's sale that cataloged 44 less horses. The average of $5,960 was up a whopping 59%.
“I would like to thank all of the consignors and buyers for being present and for their continued support. We had an outstanding selection of horses. It is our goal to grow and develop the Fall Mixed Sale back to its previous prominence. It is the perfect time of year to buy and sell breeding stock and the weather was perfect”, Jeff Tebow, Heritage Place General Manger, said on Sunday.
Horses from the complete dispersal of Steve VanBebber's Estate topped the two-day auction. Sin Tacha Perry, a multiple stakes winning Mr Jess Perry 4-year-old half-sister to World Champion Streakin Sin Tacha, topped the sale at $190,000. Jimmy Eller signed the ticket as agent.
Miss Sin Tacha, a yearling full-sister to the high-seller, was also purchased by Eller as Agent for $70,000, while a two-year-old gelded full brother, Mr Sin Tacha, was purchased by M.C. Morris and Bob & Jerry Gaston for $65,000.
The high-selling yearling was Financial Leverage who brought a final bid of $40,000 from H & E Ranch, Inc. Corner K Quarter Horses consigned the Mr Jess Perry filly out of Lady Dee Vee Em.
