Two Rivers – Grade III - $25,000 Added
Bullions N Garters is becoming one of the winningest American Quarter Horses at Prairie Meadows. In Saturday’s Two Rivers Grade III, the 6-year-old daughter of Bully Bullion blazed a 440-yard streak in :21.48 that hammered the previous stakes record of :21.69 shared by Heza Ramblin Man and Iowa Gold.
It was the bay mare’s twelfth win at Prairie Meadows with regular rider Roy Brooks. Jim Gubas is the horse’s owner and trainer. He foaled the horse in partnership with Lewis Long on April 17, 2001.
“She loves this racetrack,” said Roy Brooks following the race. “She always leaves better here. She’s just more focused. She just loves this racetrack. At Remington, I never could get her to really leave there running, but she does here. It’s hard to describe. She was more relaxed and really focused on running tonight.”
