LOS ALAMITOS EQUINE SALE EXPANDED TO THREE DAYS


August 6, 2007 – This year’s Los Alamitos Equine Sale has been expanded to three days and will be held from October 5-7.


The sale will begin with the Francisco Gonsalez dispersal on Friday, October 5 at 1 p.m. Included in the dispersal will be Make It Anywhere, a Grade 1-winning third-year sire whose 114 starters have earned more than $1.6 million and include eight stakes winners, and Copa King, a 2-year-old gelding by Make It Anywhere and full brother to stakes winner Special Anywhere who has won two races this season at Los Alamitos.


The sale will resume on Saturday and Sunday, October 6-7, beginning at 9:30 a.m. both days.


“The response by consignors to this year’s sale has been so tremendous that we had to add a third day,” said Ed Allred, who administers the sale with AQHA Past President Frank “Scoop” Vessels III.
