My mare is registered paint and quarter..
She lucky as i would say the only reason she a paint is because she has lots of white on her face.
What would this make her red dun filly, just has 2 socks and blaze.
Would her foal be classed as breeding stock??????

Its all to confusing scratch scratch

Nope your right. Unless your have detached White, and its got a certain amount of white/ with pink skin, you have a breeding stock baby. But I understand the breeding stock classes are getting better and better.

Is the baby out of a stallion that had double papers? If he does, and the mare does, isn't the baby also double papered? APHA and AQHA?

as long as one of the parents is double registered then the foal is too from what you are describing. Same situation as my little Annie. Mom is double registered sire is Aqha filly is solid bred paint (they don't call it breeding stock anymore) aqha and even foundation quarter horse lol. Now if the sire were apha you would not have a double registered as the aqha wouldnt take the registration.

What Lynn says is true. Only need one paint parent for APHA. That would be the mare. And, since both have AQHA then you got a double registered foal. cheers

The only question I would have is if the stallion is elegable for paint breeding? I am pretty new to that so maybe someone could shed some light on that one. I am not sure they have to be listed on APHA for that? scratch

the owners just have to get him registered and approved with the apha as an "approved" stallion this is typically an aqha stallion that is approved for an apha mare to use for breeding purposes not much to it just paying some fees.

I have a couple HD Royalty babies. He lives right over the mountain from me. Royalty's owners are showing at alot of the Paint shows. And I would think that your baby would also be double reg.

cor have you any pics of your HD babies.
Our little girl is a right trouble maker and is very independant, dont care for her mum much.
Just aswell as her mum hasnt much milk and is to busy stuffing her own face to let her foal suckle.

Give me a couple days and I'll get some up to date ones. Its snowing like crazy here. The chesnut in my avitar is one. Not a good picture and its from last summer. The other one I have is a bay 3yr.old gelding. I just love him. My filly has a mind of her own and tries to boss the others around. But I would be glad to get you some pics.
