SAD NEWS

Our little Miracle died last night. On Thrus night she seemed off to me. We got her up and she nursed. On Fri she would not get up so we had the vet out. The vet said she had some kind of infection and her kidney functions were not good. He had us give her two different kinds of antibiotics and run 500ml of flruid every two hours..

She kept getting more and more blotted. I asked the vet's two times why she was so blotted.. The second time I called them there was what looked like a big blister at her tiny little utters. Clear fluid was running out of the little pin hole. The reason I got was she may have been injured.. Well, we stopped putting all the fluid in her since she just kept getting bigger in the barrel.. Last night when Lonnie went out to run some fluids in her she was not blotted at all. She raised her head up a few times then died..

I believe the vets totally missed it and she had a ruptured bladder.. I got on line and found a picture that looked just like she did.. These are good vet and I am going to tell them about it. There would have been nothing we could have done for her except put her down since money is so tight.. The Lord giveth and taketh away.. I know he had a reason. She is funning in the heavens now. Much happier since she could not stand on this earth..

Im so sorry I don't think there is much you can do for a ruptured bladder even with tons of money...

I am so sorry to hear this. The Lord works in mysterious ways sometimes. At least she had love and care with you while she was here. HUGS go out to you from TX!!

Bluejay, I'm so sorry to hear this. What a horrible thing to go through. I sure hope you can find out for sure the cause. What does cause the bladder to rupture?

Thank you all for your support. HUGS TO ALL OF YOU... It has been rough.. I do feel a sense of relief since she died.. I just could not stand to see her blooting up like that. She was not in pain and thank the Lord she was at piece when she died.. Lonnie said Miracle thought he was her mommy since he milked the mare all the time and fed her.. He was so patient and would spend hours out there while those fluids ran.. He is a wonderful man who's heart stopped on Oct 27th and I thought he was gone. It seems that after that nothing is too hard for me to deal with. That was the WORST!!!

The bladder can be repaired for a few thousand bucks. I do not have that and it would have been more stressful to just put her down without trying.. She was a beautiy and I know she is very popular in heaven.. She was a AQHA Supreme Champion Granddaughter. I bet she is up there telling then all about being champions and how much they are all loved..

I just now heard about this, and I'm just so sorry! Something that small and losing it, is just the worst! I hope you know we're all thinking about you, and here's a hug from TEXAS!

Oh bluejay I am so sorry to hear this! Its hard to lose a baby especially... of any kind.

My thoughts are with you at this time... I bet the little filly is up in heaven not only standing, but running over green fields

We are all much more at piece.. Hard to loose one though. I knew that as long as we have done this it was bound to happen.. She is in a better place for sure and up and going like a normal baby should be. She is barried on our property and will never be forgotten..

It is so nice to have the support from people who I know really care about our horses.. Thank you so much...
