Just thought I'd share some pictures of a 4H fun show we went to this weekend. It was all games like dizzy bat race, pantyhose race, etc. Rachel had a good time. Nick still has a bit of a winter coat, but getting a 28 yr old gelding to shed off completely in April is a little bit tough. He didn't even get a bath before we went because it had been too chilly. Good thing it was just for fun.

She has grown 4 or 5 inches since show season last year. That's why the showmanship blouse that I bought her for Christmas doesn't fit. Oh well, I got her a new one. She has a really pretty lime green blouse. I also bought her a lime green show pad. I'll take pics at her first real show.

I second QH163...I never would have guessed he's 28! Looks great, and I think lime green is definitely "his" color. Great coordinating Cool

Congrats on a fun weekend!

That bat race looks fun! I have to try it! At least they had a mounting thing. I would definately need it since my rider is 16.3, and then being dizzy, that should make for some good laughs. Talk about busting a gut!

She looks like she was having tons of fun!

Yeah, this was Warrick County--open to 4Hers and siblings too. My daughter is horse crazy and I'm glad!!!! She's my youngest. My oldest daughter is allergic to horses and my son probably doesn't even know we have horses. So, I really needed a horse crazy kid.

They weren't going to use a mounting step, but I had that one in my trailer and they decided it would be a good idea to use it. There were kids there alot smaller than her. There would've been no way they could have remounted (dizzy or not).

WOW, I wish I had looked so good at 28! I am going to suggest my kids club does something like that.

Thanks. He's a great horse. THe show was a blast for the kids. Each class cost $1 to enter plus a canned food item which they donated to a local food bank. THey gave out ribbons for prizes which was inexpensive but still excited the kids.
