Sad News

We had to put Gordie down I'm really upset

there is just so much going on right now my dad is in the hospital but he will be okay it was just a big shock and then my little guy just couldn't fight anymore and he had kidney failure he wouldn't get up anymore and wouldn't eat anything everything is just like piliing up on me right now and I know its hard on my mom too

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and the goat. Did you ever find out what caused the kidney failure? Was it just the bad food your friend was feeding it or did he eat something poisonous? We are attached t o our little goat mascot too and it's hard to see them go. My four year old daughter put a lead on ours yesterday and she dragged her all around the pasture!! She,s not quite a show goat but she adds life to the barn!

I am sorry to hear about all your bad news. It is really crappy when a pet dies. I have had a few, and it is really sad. Sorry about your loss.

Gordie had kidney failure that stemmed from enterotoxemia which can be caused by an inconsistant and unhealthy diet -- but im not going to be mad at the girl she didn't mean it and she didn't know this would happen so I guess I'll just take it as a learning experience

thank you everyone I'm starting to feel better about this I figure that he was such a spunky little guy and for the past few weeks he hasn't been his troublesome self so now he's up in heaven eating all the notebooks he can handle and headbutting everyone in sight!

yea I really didn't think goats were that sensitive myself (haha thought they could eat a tin can) but I guess it depends on the way they are raised (spoiled )

haha Merikle that would one heck of a trip for a goat! I'm sure UPS would ship
