Repo-ing My Filly!!!! -- UPDATE

Kidd, how is she doing?

Have you had the blood tests done yet Kidd? Got my fingers and the hooves all crossed fro you that this gets done soon. She deserves to be home with the man who puts faith in her...you!

Soo...little filly is not doing better...
I finally got back up there (work has been $%^&*(*&^%$#$%^&* if you get my drift) and got more blood! The vet has it now and is running EVERY TEST IN THE BOOK on it...NOW it looks like the filly is loosing hair on her head?!?!
I'm stumped...

on a GOOD note--
She was neg coggins (WHOOP)...we didn't think that was it but wanted to rule out the "kill em now" stuff...

I dropped off feed, the girl did de-worm her it appears...
The idiot said - "that feed is just like what i'm feeding" - to which I responded, well, she should have it in front of her ALL THE DANG TIME!
We'll see how quickly my vet can get the info to me...
I MIGHT get to pick her up SUNDAY!!! I would be SOOOOO happy!!!

So - a question though -
She is SUPER skinny and has SUPER knappy hair, nasty stuff...
would it be okay to body clip her once I get her home? Or would that be harder on her than having the nasty hair?

I don't think I'd body clip her, but she may have like mange or something. I'd just keep feeding her real well, see what the vet says about her blood about her needs, what she'll need the most, take everything slowly, and she'll come around.

Iodine baths in case she is losing hair due to a fungus. At this stage Id give her alittle B-12. Make her hungry and feel better. Poor little girl!

I just got a text from the "Delightful person" that has her - I'm trying to refrain from explatives...hmph....
Girl said "She is cleaning up 2 five gallon buckets of that feed you left a day" - I called her and said - it is a FREE CHOICE FEED - LET HER EAT AS MUCH AS SHE WANTS!!!!!!!! ARGH - how DENSE can you get?!?!!? I've never fed free choice but everyone I talked to that does rescue horses said this feed was the BEST for this situation....so I went with it....but it has to be free choice!!! The feed company has NEVER had a horse colic OR founder on it so I say feed away, feed away (at least to Kapi, everyone else is fat, they are on diets)

I just wanna go get my baby!!!! Dang vet is taking forever and a day!!! I asked her what was taking so long and she said, do you wanna know what you're bringing back into your barn or not? hmph, can't argue with that so I just shut my happy little mouth!

This Update is loooong overdue!!!

Okay - so all blood work came back squeaky clean!!! Filly was FINE, just thin. I didn't have a place to put her here (dang paint has her spot in the paddock right now)...SO - I found a place for her with a WONDERFUL lady who has one of our geldings (she is buying him on a payment plan) and she agreed to take the filly and fatten her up for us!

I should have pics sometime in the next 2 days!!!

When I finally got to pick my baby girl up she had a big old gash on her forehead and the woman that had her SAT ON THE DANG GRASS and watched me load her up!!! My filly LEAPED into the trailer and started pawing within 30 seconds...so we hit the road!!! She is getting a Panacur Powerpak and in another 2-3wks will get hit with ANOTHER one!

I will definitely keep you posted on her progress and will post photos as often as I can!
