| Along with everyone else, I too got a new horse this weekend.
I headed to the production sale at the nearest auction house, looking to see if there was any good weanlings there. I was sad to see the crap that was hauled in, and even the prices good horses went at... There was only one filly I liked, but her full brother had gone through before and he was gross... so I passed.
I hadn't bid on anything all day, and really hadn't planned on it from what was going through the ring. I was waiting on a grandaughter of easy jet and doc holliday, and when she entered I was quite dissapointed. Her pedigree was awesome, but her conformation did not show it. I passed and she sold for $350.
Ready to leave, I got out of my seat when a red dun mare with near flawless conformation entered the ring. They said "Dash for cash on the papers and blah blah blah (race type lines)". So right before last call I upped the bid to $325 (measly I know!).
I am now the owner of a gorgeous mare, with not a whole lot on her papers! No Dash for cash, and only a little racing blood. In all actuality, she looks more like a cutting/reining mare.
I don't have pictures on the computer yet, but will get some.
I was wondering if anyone has any AQHA money left to do a little snooping around to see if there is anything good on her papers. I somehow let my membership expire, so Can't look.
She is now on allbreed and her name is CR Classy Hotrodder

| I'll go to my other computer and do it. Can't wait to see her.
Ok, so I did the pedigree with race & point earners. Wow, did the guys at the auction ever get it wrong. Where did they get race bred from? It's way far back there
Anyhoo, Sir Quincy Bob has 35 halter points and 6 perfomance points. Quincy Dan has 68 halter points. Princess Nan has 22 halter points and 13.5 performance points Leo San Mount won $343 racing and has 19 halter & 27 perf. points Hank Ace won $14, 180 racing Honey B Isle has 29 halter & 13 perf points Doc's Hotrodder has 119 halter & 26.5 perf points Hollywood Wilma has 9 perf points Peppy Isle has 2 halter points and 16 performance points. Peppy San should need no introduction, but he had 26 halter & 180 perf points.
Your mare got her color from her sire, who is also red dun. I printed off the info, so I've got it here in case you'll got any questions.

| She's quite stout, isn't she. Looks pretty good to me. How tall is she? Haha, I noticed she still has her auction tag on. At least they put it in an okay spot. They had put Missy's up on her croup and we ended up clipping off the glue. | |

| lol she is stout, yet feminine and small. She is probably only 14.1 or maybe even 14HH, So not very big at all. lol and yes, its SO hard to get those stickers off, and I have a feeling that she will be wearing hers for a while yet and she is still a bit nervous. However she seems frightened (but still willing to tolerate you), and possibly slightly abused. Taffy my dun mare is in the pen next to her and trying to kill her. I had thought about hot wire in there, and now I think it certainly is a good idea. Also, good news is that my trainer is on her way as we speak Then hopefully Manito is off for his WP training! | |
