Well, just wanted to check in. Dillon's buddy that had moved a couple of years ago, came in for this month from Washington State. Missed the little twit! My entire whole family went down to the lake on Thursday, I took my brother-in-law's trailer down there, and we went back down there on Friday, as I had to cook a ton of food!
Brother-in-law brought his boat and tubey things - all the boys had a blast! I even rode it a couple of times - only came off once - it's like having balance while riding a horse... a lot easier if you've rode! HA!
Wish we could've stayed longer. Packing up wasn't too bad - just threw all my stuff in the trailer, then helped mom, since they have all the slide-outs. What was great was... Sat. night I left mom's after all of us "girls" were playing murder, and came out, and earlier we'd set up a canopy with netting for all the boys with Dillon's TV so the boys could play halo once it got dark. They were all so intent on that, and it was probably oh, midnight... and I thought, oh, man, this is too good of an opportunity not to scare the beegeebies out of these boys... so went back in, all of us girls planned the scenario, and those boys, I swear, all screamed like a bunch of little girls, and then I had to "escort" them up to the bathroom, because they were afraid - PRICELESS!!!! Ha!
On another note, a couple of you knew I'd gone ahead and cut Kid - did that this past Monday. He's doing very well - a lot better than Scamp, he didn't hardly even swell. He's calming down a lot already. Truthfully, didn't think it'd be this quick, though. Rick's already riding Scamp, so this next week, we start on Kid. He was broke when he was 3, but now to finish it and get him a JOB!!!! He'll be my horse, probably the last horse I'll ever ride. Thought about sending him to a trainer, then Rick and I decided we couldn't trust anybody anyhoos, so we're going to do it - probably the best one for the job anyways! Rick and I have decided we'll danged sure have the best looking geldings anywhere we go... HA!
