Bred by Charlie and Dixie Patterson of Wimberley, Texas, Jesse James Jr is a 6-year-old stallion by champion Mr Jess Perry out of the winning and Grade 1-placed First Down Dash mare Loose Lips. His full brother, Jesstified, won the ’06 Retama Park Derby (G1). Racing from 2003-06, Jesse James Jr earned $167,275 from five wins in 21 starts, and his stakes record included a runner-up finish in the ’04 Golden State Derby (G1) at Los Alamitos.
