Grrrrr Gotta vent!

Why is it so many horse people are back stabbers? I just don't understand it! Horses are supposed to bring out the good in people, not the ugly lying talking behind your back stuff.
SO, the lady I was going to have me help train the bald face fiily couldn't do it so she suggested I use one of her barn mates by just showing up with her at a lesson and saying "Here's your new trainer!" I was like hmmmm okay. So I handed her the leadrope and said okay let me see what it is you do. She was sort of lost, like what??? I asked her what she wanted to ride in and she asked if I had a particular bit (which I did). So I saddled the filly handed her the reins and sat back and watched. I played totally ignorant with her while she told me that I needed to teach my filly to bend & flex at the poll.... yadda yadda yadda..... SO she proceeds to take the filly and tie her head down and to the side in a double twisted snaffle bit and let her go in the arena. THEN she gets a buggy whip to make her move and practically chases her in circles around for a minute. I watch her for a minute then I politely tell her okay well, I am running short on time but I'll call you. I'm thinking NO WAY NO HOW ARE YOU EVER TOUCHING MY HORSE AGAIN.
SO, here's the kicker, I tell her later that I just don't have time right now for trainer etc... but maybe later I'll call her. I find out through a mutual farrier that she is telling everyone that knows us both that my horses are all skinny and beat up and that she has never seen horses that look so bad!!!! I AM FURIOUS!!!! I haven't seen her or said anything to her yet, but I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!

I know you are down in south Tx but there are some great people up this way- if you ever feel like you can part with her let me know I know some people I trust implicity it has been a long hard search to find them.

Hehe - as far as baths go - I have a couple that are sooo much worse off than that!!!!!!!!!!

I think she is at a good weight for a big loaf of a filly. She said that she was ribby and all beat up with scars on her and that my friend that gave her to me needs to get her back! I just found she called my friend right after she was givin to me and wanted to buy her. Hmmm maybe she's a liitle jelous? I just don't know if I can bite my tongue!!!!

Deep breaths and go give the pretty filly a big old hug!!!!

She is probably upset that you got her and she didn't get to buy her...People are odd...all there is to it!

Oh believe me, I found out first hand how back-stabbing horse people can be!! Especially people who want something for nothing and then complain about it, LOL!

I don't blame you for being angry. Even though I've seen it many times, I cannot believe that people will spread outright lies like that.

FIRST off trainers are a dime a dozen. every one in arizona thinks their a trainer. i just laugh. im no trainer. i always learn from everyone. if someone went behind my back like that id have to give the a peice of my mind. id be just as mad as you are now. for her to do that to your mare, i would of told her you touch my mare again like that im gonna whipp you!!! i would of just grabbed my mare and left. people are so dang retarded......

Your horse looks just fine. Some people think they have to say some thing bad about someone else to make them selves look good. Never works and I would not let her touch my horse again either..

Well, I confronted her with it and she claims that she NEVER said that! Whatever! Here are some pics of her tonight after I gave her a bath. She is so skinny and scabby!!! LOL

Goodness gracious... those are the skinniest horses I've ever seen! Criminey sakes Alive! Sounds to me like a bit of jealousy and need of a pair of glasses!

I wouldn't worry about it...just chalk it up to the list, ya know!
