I know I haven't been around for quite some time. Had a bit of an accident in late February. Wade & I were moving a washing machine into our basement. I, for some unknown and obviously stupid reason, was at the bottom. Wade got to about the 3rd step and the darn thing slipped out of his hands. I got hit at the knee, tearing my medial ligament on my left knee, damaging nerves and leaving me black and blue and sore all over.
Luckily, I landed on a full pop up hamper of laundry, otherwise my injuries would very likely have been far worse. My doctor says I'm quite lucky.
I have been wearing a knee brace and am finally getting around decently. For a while there, I was on crutches. Even after I was off them, my brace was still set for very little bend and I walked like a drunken pirate.
I am back riding. Vamp & I are in the lead for points in our age division in the local gymkhana club. I had my kids conditioning her & I was able to just get on and run.
I have also been riding Pep and my 3 year Appy gelding that I bought. Haven't got on any of my others since my injury though.
Not had much luck with foals this year. Freckles had one heck of a nice colt that got killed by a cougar in our west hay field and our vet missed Sandy's twins. One was stillborn and the other just didn't have much of a chance. We have a palomino colt out of one of our pony mares and Wade's mare just had a bay filly yesterday evening.
That's been my news recently. not much of it good, I am afraid.
I'll have to get pics up shortly. We seem to be getting overrun by Appaloosas.

Glad you are OK and back. WOW, you are lucky things did not go another way when you fell. Sounds like you are back in the saddle and doing what you love to do.. Not easy being laid up for so long.. cheers

Wow, not good, glad you're doing much better! At least you are still able to ride, some people can't get back in the saddle after an injury like that!

I hope your luck turns around, not sounding like a very good year for you guys so far. Can't wait to see pics of your babies!
