the $320,628 New Mexican Spring Futurity.

Gonzalez’s Stakes-Winning Pair Returns in Zia Futurity Trials Thursday RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—JULY 7, 2007—Trainer Juan Gonzalez should have an excellent afternoon on Thursday (July 12) at Ruidoso Downs because he sends out the futurity winners A Streak Regard and Genuine Streaker in the trials to the Grade 1, $362,000 Zia Futurity.
The 12-race program starts with a 1 p.m. first post time. There is always free parking and free grandstand admission at Ruidoso Downs. The Zia theme continues on Friday with Zia Derby trials, and on Saturday with the trials to the Senor and Senorita futurities.
A Streak Regard comes off his half-length win in the Grade 2 New Mexico Breeders Futurity at SunRay Park. The Chicks Regard gelding scored his fourth win from five career starts in the Breeders Futurity with an excellent :17.33 time for the 350 yards. His only defeat was when he was second in the New Mexican Spring Fling Futurity behind Genuine Streaker.
A Streak Regard will be handled by Mark Villa when they start from the seventh post position in the first trial.
Genuine Streaker took the Spring Fling Futurity with an excellent :15.06 time for 300 yards at Sunland Park. The Genuine Strawfly gelding then had a troubled trip in his trial to the Ruidoso Horse Sale Futurity, finishing sixth as the odds-on favorite.
Villa handles Genuine Streaker with the second post position in the 12th trial.
Zanmir got the win in the Ruidoso Horse Sale Futurity when she rallied to score by neck for her fourth victory from five starts for trainer Blane Wood. The Dean Miracle filly raced the 350 yards in :17.81 and pushed her career earnings to $132,000.
