| Some of you may remember me from the AQHA forum. I was very hesitant to come on here after all the crap that happened with Tara, but Jamie (standbytrucker) encouraged me to do so. I just want to say that if there is anyone on here who is uncomfortable with my being a member of this forum, or wants to dredge up things that happened on any other forum, just let me know and I will not come back. The thing that happened with Tara was an extremely unfortunate incident with someone that I THOUGHT was a good friend of mine who went behind my back and did and said things that were reprehensible. So, if you'd like to have me and Janie, we'd like to be here. If not, we have other friends and other forums.

| I just want to make sure that I'm wanted on here. I think I've pretty much had enough nastiness from people to last me for awhile. | |

| Sheree, nice to see you again... and gosh, has that filly every grown. Course I'm not the powers that be on this thing, but I remember when there was good times between you and I. I think I'm about the only one that remembers that before everything went to pooh.... I'll let everybody know real quick, that when Tara and I first got into it, all three of us were friends, Sheree was friends with both of us, and Sheree stayed out of the middle of it - which I totally understood and thanked Sheree for that. Truthfully, Sheree, when the other stuff started happening, I thought you'd lost your ever living mind - I didn't know what happened. In fact, I kept telling friends of mine, that something had made you go off your rocker, that I couldn't figure it out, that you weren't like that before - many I told that to! In truth, we'd love to have you, or myself, I'm thinking of, and I know a lot of people on here don't hold grudges. However, I think you have to understand that you said an awfully lot of nasty things to certain people on here, and maybe an apology would help. I'm not telling you what to do, just suggesting it. The only reason I say that, is because I know you were sane before... HA!... I just coudln't figure out what the heck happened. And you do realize that there are still people on here that things get back to other people, namely B1, 2 and 3, (which is Tara, Emerald and Baymare) and this board is a board that I feel totally comfortable with, and I'm sure we all want to keep it that way. I can honestly say before you went 666, that I loved your quick little diddies and quirks, enjoyed our e-mailing, but criminey something happened there. And, yes, I did get an e-mail forwarded to me from a certain person wherein you told them that "I guess I should've listened to Sheila." Told ya!!!!! It's not up to me, but I think if you apologized, it would smooth some things over, and then we can go from there. But like I said, I'm not the powers that be... but I wanted to come on here and say that I knew you before you lost your mind... HA!...and you were a swell gal. | |

| Sheila- There were a lot of things said by a lot of people. There were a lot of things said that were attributed to me that were actually said by other people. But that is neither here nor there and I'm not going to try and remember what was said by whom. To anyone who was hurt by something I said or even by something that someone claiming to be me said, I am truly sorry. I guess I learned a big hard lesson about trusting people that you meet on the internet, even if you meet them face to face you still don't know who they really are and what they are capable of.

| I agree, Sheree. I don't know what the heck was going on behind the lines, so to speak, but I can only imagine. I know who the pot-stirers were, and thankfully they're not on this board... or at least not anymore... HA! Like I said before, I enjoyed our e-mails, etc. and your quick witties in the past...but that's my 2 cents worth.... | |

| Thanks for the compliment on my little mare. Guess she's not so little anymore! She's home now and being spoiled rotten, her papa got her a 12 x 24 stall at our new boarding barn, it's bigger than some horses turnout paddocks! She's doing well with her training and our first AQHA show is this month. She was leading the Missouri SMBHA club in Open Halter, but we're not showing over there any more since she's home. She's so quiet and laid back that my 8-year old stepson is going to be showing her in youth halter at the AQHA show! Did your boys show youth halter? I don't know how he's supposed to show her teeth, his little hands just can't hold the lead and open her mouth at the same time! | |

| Great, Sheree! Sounds like she's doing well. Heck, if I know on the teeth thingy... I hate doing that... even for a grown person... heck, if I know, just keep practicing... let me see if I can think of how to do this easier... I'll practice today for ya and let ya know... So is your mom's horse still at that other barn, or did you get her talked in to putting her at your barn? Sorry, forgot the name of the horse... | |

| Penny. No, Penny is still at the other place, but apparently they're taking good care of her. She is 100% retired from the show pen now. She's out with a herd (of course she's boss mare) and she's even got a pet donkey named Jenny, who she thinks is her baby. My mom still trail rides her 3 or 4 times a week. She has virtually stopped cribbing since being on turnout, and no more colic episodes. I think I finally talked my mom into giving Janie a try in the walk trot next year. Our trainer says she's never in her life seen a 2-year old as quiet as Janie. She was riding her the other day, the roping steers were running around, a donkey was braying, the minis were raising heck and someone was running a weedeater. Janie didn't even blink an eye. In fact she is so laid back that I have trouble keeping her awake in her halter classes! | |

| Lead is held in the left hand, with one hand only Use the right hand to Lift the upper lip and the thumb on the left hand to pull down the lower lip. Keeping the lead in the fingers only. My daughter had small hands to, she was nine and this worked well. then when he is done showing teeth, pick up the lead with right hand. PS Thank you. | |

| Thanks Kay!! I would have never thought of doing it that way. Now I just have to teach her not to raise her head any when he does it. Sissy does not really appreciate having her teeth shown, and with Brady being really small for his age, it can present a problem. (Brady calls her Sissy because he says she's his little sister, LOL!)
BTW--I am DESPERATELY looking for a solid burgundy show shirt for Brady, size little boy's medium. Of course Rod's has every color EXCEPT burgundy. If anyone knows where I could get one? Pink would look awesome but I'm afraid the other little boys might make fun of him... | |

| Raising the head. put pressure on her poll and cluck. each time she lowers her head, pet her, Ask again, cluck. lower then the first time. Whoa, pet her as she holds it at his level. ask her with a cluck to keep getting lower and lower with pressure on the poll and nose with the halter. So when he is showing her, all he has to do is pull down and cluck. She will drop her head and hold it low when he says whoa. It works great, I loved it when the judges had to stoop down to see the teeth, but at least the horse was at Kitties height and she could do her thing. Besides the croud loved it! open the lips, when you do this, place peppermint, honey something sweet on her lips each time you ask her to show her teeth, soon she wont care. She will just lick her lips! | |

| I thought about having him give her a treat when he showed her teeth, but decided against it as I sure don't want her to get mouthy since she will be my showmanship horse. Here is Brady with his "Sissy". | |

| Sheree, have you got some kind of a western store around you? Might try that... I know I've seen 'em, but I can't remember where the heck it was. Also, a golden blue would look real good on him and with your filly, with that red roan. | |

| We do, but all they have is red, blue and yellow in solid colors. I wouldn't mind ordering, if only I could find something! A plaid with burgundy or pink would be OK too. Rod's has a chocolate brown, which would look good with the mare, but wouldn't really "pop", you know? | |
