OLF, this is so true. You also need to be consistent and stick to a routine. Lots of elbow greese and commitment.. It is not easy work either. And, what you put in the horse needs to work for that horse.. They are all indivduales and need to be treated as such.

I have friends that run around the barn day and night with a tempature gauge and watch the tempature. They add and take off blankets as needed.. I do not go that far.. But, they sure do. Got to have that perfect coat. study

Very nice mare by the way. I had heard some commenting on your brand on other threads. It really is cool.. Keep up the nice work. Dancing

Tiple J, if you are talking about the filly I have she should be bred to color only. Nice Buckskin or Paly.. I would not breed her to anthing else.. She is Sir Cool Skip/Little Town lines.. Very Happy

I am breeding the mare with the colt to Twentyfour Karat Kid right now.. I hope she gives me Paly. She wanted to be paly really bad.. LOL.. When I bodied clipped her as a weanling she turned gold. You should have seen my face light up.. She is very light chestnut with flaxen mane and tail.. I told Robin Bales that I took my tweezers when the semen got here yesterday and plucked out all the paly filly wigglies and inserted them in my mare.. Think this will work? bounce scratch

That big Paly mare I have better get her one heck of a folicle going and get her behind in foal this time and STAY THAT WAY.. Dange mare is not good for anything but breeding.. She needs to give me that MONSTER paly by my colt.. DANG IT!

And 7C, a nice deep chestnut is very pretty just like all the rest of the brown horses.... lol! Sleep

Bluejay......Razz Twisted Evil Razz Cool Dancing Dancing lol!

Now, add some white on those legs with that live chestnut....yahhh, that's what I'm talking about.

Long time ago when I was a kid and I used to go the sale barn with my granddad, this old man had a chocolate palamino walking horse... I still to this day, think that was the most prettiest colored-up horse I've ever seen.

If you could produce a horse that could rope with that color, oh, Lordy, katie bar the door.... there'd be a big price tag on that sucker - and they'd pay it! HA!
