Sorry, we had a scare today. One of the ladies at my barn called me and
said she thought our mare was getting ready to foal. She said she
wasn't eating, she was off all by herself in the pasture and she was
breathing really heavy and looking at her stomach.

We hauled butt up there to check her out. I was freaking! She would
have been like 56 days early. All is okay though. She's not bagged up,
not sweaty, her rear end looks good, so I'm not to worried right now.
She is okay.

Okay, don't pick on the bad hair day. It was cold and raining and I had on three layers of sweat shirts! I have some video I'll try and get uploaded, it may take longer though.

That is so cool! Thanks for sharing, Cindy. So how long of a leg do each of you make? I've been to the capitol a couple of times, and it still takes my breath away!

Well, you are supposed to run 1/2 mile per horse, but since hubby couldn't
ride after his incident, Wayne & I split, so we each were running
about 3/4 of mile. It was hard..... who'd have thought it!

Well, are you going to tell us how hubby is or what? Is he okay?

Oh, this is so interesting, I loved the fact that you were part of carring the saddle bags to the capitol. What a neat part of History. Bet you had such a good time. Makes you wonder that the folks in the cars thought of you as they drove by and seeing you riding in the rain! Thanks for sharing.
