ONE FAMOUS EAGLE IN ACTION THURSDAY


One Famous Eagle and Stylish Jess Br, two of the most promising 2-year-olds on the grounds, will make their racing debuts in seperate maiden races on Thursday at Los Alamitos.



Sired by Feature Mr Jess and out of the Dash For Cash mare Stylish Secret, the Benny Rosset-owned Stylish Jess Br will be in action in the 5th race for 2-year-old fillies. The brown filly posted the bullet work on the morning on April 28, when sizzling to a :12.00 clocking. Stylish Jess will be taking on Peacefully, a full sister to 2004 World Champion Be A Bono, who ran third in her local debut, and No Moon On The Rise, an $85,000 purchase at last year's Los Alamitos Equine Sale.



Owned by Burnett Ranches Ltd and Johnny Trotter, One Famous Eagle has shown a tremendous stride in both of his local drills. The son of Mr Jess Perry out of One Famous Lady earned the bullet work on April 26 when going 220 yards in :12.10. John Bassett trains One Famous Eagle, who'll be ridden by Saul Ramirez Jr. One Famous Eagle is the first foal of One Famous Lady, who earned $172,515 in her career. She ran in the All American and Rainbow derbies. One Famous Eagle's second dam is One Slick Cookie, who ran in the Mildred Vessels Memorial Handicap here.


One Famous Eagle will be facing Habilitate, a full brother to champion Los Alamitos and All American Derby winner Old Habits, and Jay Teel El, who sold for $110,000 at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale. He is out of All American Futurity winner Elans Special.
