Since Lovetoshow brought it up on another topic, though I would ask. How many of you are going to show at the regionals? I know Kelly (Phenom) did last year, and did very, very well! Course, you don't get any gosh-darned points.

I see it as pointless, literally. HA! I'm out for the points, not prizes, or mentions, straight points.

What do you all think?

I heard that in our regional show, that Ted Turner was going to put on a thing about halter... If I can make it, I might just go for that...

my barn owner is doing the trail clinic and they told him to bring certain people to demostrate certain things if he wants so I'm going Laughing

I might show there I think it will be good for me because I have only shown quarter horse with novice permits. I have done the walk trot and non-aqha classes at our CQHA shows so I'm used to a 3-day show and the judging standards and everything but showing QH is another level and I think the regional show will help me grow as a rider so that I can be competetive on the QH circuit

We might go. We went to the first one and got Am and Open two year old stallion.. I might go this year. It is in Idaho and that is about 8 hours from us.. I have to get the dang quarter crack healed first and get my horse back to work..

No points but looks good on the resume.. Dancing

I *might* be going. It's about 6 hours from me, I think, so my mom doesn't really want to haul it herself. But I will probably go if I can catch a ride. Smile I just hope I can get my Amateur ROM in time to do the Performance Halter. I won't have much time! haha.

Lovetoshow - (Since you are a Pens fan) Are you in Region 5? Me too. Smile

Cantjog, now you've got my curiosity up... Is that you Slowride? If so - sweeeettt! If not, ooops! HA!

Whoever the heck you are, I think that is absolutely super what you've accomplished, and please let us know... I haven't been to a show in Jackson in years, but I do know some people that I'm sure will be going in halter for the regionals. We may not get to watch you and be on-site to cheer, but we'll definitely be here cheering you on!

Slowride/aka Can't jog (yeah, what a joke! HA!), I'm so glad you made it over here. I told Cindy we should have you here to help all these performance people!

I haven't talked to the Fords in a while. Different story for a different time - I'll holler later at ya on that.

So whatcha been up to? Catch us up. So what'd you win at Regional last year... what was your thoughts on it, the only other person I knew showing was Kell (Phenom), and she aced it.

What's your take on showing at regionals? Just to add to the resume or a real bonus? I just have hard time spending money on something that I don't get those blasted points.

So catch us all up to date what you've been up to, how many you got going this year, etc.

Really glad to see you here. I hope that you offer your help to these young'uns... I'm keeping my happy hiney on the ground... Very Happy

Jamie - I would really like to show at Region 5 this year. It will just depend on whether or not we can get Clara a ride there (my mom doesn't want to haul that far). Thanks for the hotel tip! I might have to take you up on it. Smile
