my first apha show

ok well. sunday is going to be my first APHA show. im nervous and super excited. we body clipped pete he looks great. tonight is petes day off ( i have to work my second job) but ill work him tomorrow and saturday before i bath him.
im going to look for a black jacket, blazer type and black slacks. ill try and get pictures! friends of mine will be there so ill have them get the pictures if possible!

Well, you know the rules about pics..

Around here the paint shows are so much more fun you will convert and have a great time.. You can be yourself..

i went out tonight and bought a new blazer and lime green under shirt. ill have black pants on too. ill at least look ok not look like such a whale LOL

We'll be awaiting the scoop after the show telling us all about it ,oh & pics of course.Good luck to you

ok so i forgot my camera of all things no one else of my friends that were showing had theres. so no pix ill get some next weekend at my next show. BUT we had an excitent show!!! i won my class!! woo hoo!!! this was petes first show!
he did great didnt freak out at ne thing what so ever!!!!

I always take my camera and then it sits in the motor home and I don't get pictures either. But, at least I bring my camera...

OK, How many were in your class.? Maybe we can figure it out.

In AQHA, if there is 3 then it would be 1/2 a point, 5 would be 1 point 10=2 points Grand and Res. Are a whole differant story,

NOPE, AQHA is much harder to get points in. Paint shows pass them out much eaiser.

APHA Point Tabulation. Points given for show and contest classes:
Horses Placing
in Class 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
3-5 = 1
6-8 = 2 - 1
9-11 = 3 - 2 - 1
12-14 = 4 - 3 - 2 - 1
15-17 = 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 -1
18 & Over = 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1

If I read it right, this is how it works. Dang and a ROM would be soooo much eaiser to get then AQHA. If a ROM is 10 points.
