Tucker was tall like that when he was born. He was bent-at-the-knees for about 3 weeks. The vets (father-daughter team) were busy that day, so I took them a vdieo of him. He stood flat on his front feet....They said not to worry.

I didn't realize how tall he really was til I noticed that he never ran under his mom's belly. Mom is a tad over 16hds.

Rag Doll. Ive had 44 inch tall babies, but they had a cord! They were wadded up some as well. Seems to take them a bit longer to unwad when they are that big. It had for me to believe this filly is 2 days old, With her neck being all filled out. Her tummy is full too!

UM, no way.. Foals are gaunt when they are born and it takes a while for them to fill out like that. She is just a tad bent in the front knees.. Ber baby I say.. lol! Must be the smartest foal in the world the way she already leads.. Shocked

With that said, I had one that came out 23 days early and was ready for the halter pen. She was totally filled out and coat was even slick.. She was built like a box.. She was small though as all that mares foals are.. Then they grow in to monsters with all the milk she produces. She hated me too.. lol! Just one of those that you do not mesh with.

It could happen... Razz

I had a colt that was much bigger and heavier than that filly. However it was a fight for him to be delivered, because he even had fat over his ribs. He was a chunky monkey, and was entirely filled out at birth. by 5 days old he looked 2 months old.

So it is possible, but really, oh well?

The position the filly is in could easily hide the cord.. She has a bit of a turn in her middle. Rolling Eyes

Now, if I was going to post some thing like that I would make sure that cord was showing.. lol! Just to avoid the chatter about the foal.. I still say the foal leads way to well for just being 2 days old and that in it's self is dishonest.. So, I would expect the rest of it to be as well.. No
