| BJ....Thanks again for the pics!!!!!!
You hit the nail on the head!!!!!!! I don't doubt my skill, but my bones will snap like a twig. I know what impact a fall could have on my life.
My daughter laid in a coma for over 2 weeks because she was on a horse that NO-ONE should have been on. The fact that he fell/rolled on her had nothing to do with her skill level. At 17yrs old she had already broke/trained several horses.....and won tons of blues. The horse that ran away with her wasn't impressed.

| I am sorry to hear that happened to your daughter, does she still ride after all that?
I think this is one of those situations where you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. The only thing I can think of, besides getting more demanding from him when you ride, is some ground work exercizes that will possibly help him see that you're his boss. If you're interested in these, let me know and I will PM you a few I think might help....
Considering all the time you've put in to him, I sure hope I can help you out, or someone.... He is a really pretty boy, your paint is a cutie too!

| That's my daughter on the Paint. It was Prissy's first time under saddle. She rarely rides anymore. She's married with 2 kids....The oldest has autism/ADHA....and she has a clothing store. She has to be careful about what kind of horse she rides. She's has some paralisis in her left leg and arm. As you can see, she sure doesn't lack confidence. | |

| I forgot to add that we totally chewed her out for getting on that horse, the way she did. She shouldn't have been on any horse without a helmet. Better yet, someone else should have gotten on her first. Lack of judgement is a problem for people who have had a TBI. | |

| Most people can read the animal and go from there. I am sure she felt that this horse was not going to do anything stupid and that is why she got on her. Many horses do not do naughty things the first time a rider gets on them. Some of mine just stood there and it took more time for them to pick up a foot and move.. DORKS.. That was the two stallions I had started. They just stood there like OK NOW WHAT DO I DO.. Yes, of course they turned out to be some of the best boys around and love people. This is just how I like them to be. LAID BACK | |
