2 weeks Early, but we have a Pally Filly

Subject: 2 weeks Early, but we have a Pally Filly January 21st 2008, 10:25 am

She is early and having trouble with her Body Temp. We have a baby blanket on her, and she was born with wind chill factor like -1. She is Fuzzy, much more then Blue Jays Colt. No marking on legs, just on the face. Kirt teased Saturday Morning and Said welll Sister did it again, another early foal.. I was LIke your such a Lair! Well he came in this morning at 5:30 and said Sister has a palomino foal, I dont know what it is. I knew he was serious. She was Dry, Had Nursed and Mom had dropped the after birth. So we are guessing 3:30. I thought humm I might of beat Bluejay After all, Nope I see her golden child.. Id rather of this mare went 2 more weeks! Bless her heart she just shivers.

Had to be transfused. Bless her heart, Held her down while she was being stabbed. Felt so sorry for her. Her neck is swollen in the pic, We took her blanket off for photos.. and threw it all she come up to you talking. The vet said from ultra Sounds, and dates she more like 3 weeks early.

She's just darling!!! She does look like she's very shy, poor baby, I'm sorry she had to be stuck with a needle. Is she related to that gorgeous colt that was born last year (at least I think he was born last year)?

Full Siblings, He leaves for a trainer in Florida Tuesday. They plan on showing him at the PHBA world. Hes 14'3 now. Suspect

Wow, she is a sweetheart, glad she is doing better, they sure can scare us. I sometimes wonder why we do this. Hummmm

1. Hold our fingers till they are bred
2. Pray the mare holds it
3. Start watching mares close for foaling
4. Pray everything goes well during delivery
5. Pray mom and baby are aok after foaling
6. Watch baby very closely
7. Watch poor baby miss mom during weaning
8. Almost forgot get mom bred after baby is born.

WHEW............

You hit the nail right on the head.. I HATE WEANING TIME! Bless their hearts, the fuss so, then the mares are so upset, your hoping they lose a foal, being worried so much. But I sure love those big brown eyes and soft coats..
