Texas Trio, Keep The Sign Win Los Al Overnight Stakes Texas Trio Makes It Three In WhosleavingwhoLOS ALAMITOS RACE COURSE, CYPRESS, CA—OCTOBER 8, 2007—Imperial Crown’s Texas Trio posted his third win in a row when defeating the Grade 1 stakes placed He Storms by ¾ lengths on Saturday, October 6.
Trained by Jaime Gomez and ridden by Cody Jensen, the Chicks Beduino gelding won the Cypress Handicap in his previous start. He won the Chicado V Handicap last year. Texas Trio earned $9,900 for the win. He covered the 350 yards in :17.51.
He Storms, a Separatist gelding was second and Modem, a Corona Cocktail gelding, finished third, while 300-yard track record holder Runnin Ramped finished fourth.
El Corona Ariero, Cut The Snow, Aladim Bryan Sa and Furyofthewind completed the field. Legal Runaway was scratched.
Keep The Sign Wins Tres SeisRobert Parra’s Keep The Sign posted an impressive two lengths victory in the 350-yard Tres Seis Handicap on Sunday.
Trained by Jesus Nunez and ridden by Ramon Sanchez, Keep The Sign came into this race off a fourth place finish in the Sgt Pepper Feature Handicap on September 8. The New Mexico-bred gelding by Vital Sign covered the distance in :17.36. He pocketed $9,900 of the $18,000 purse.
Snowy Alibi, a two-time Grade 1 winner in Texas by This Snow Is Royal, ran fourth in his local debut. Trained by Janet VanBebber, Snowy Alibi figures to make his next start in the Bayer Legend Derby Challenge.
Fat Royality by Royal Evening Snow was third.
