Jessthelousianagirl, A Silver Goblin Top Kansas Trials Sunday

KANSAS CITY, KS—SEPTEMBER 23, 2007—Trials for the Kansas Futurity(G2) and Kansas Derby(G3) were conducted Sunday at The Woodlands Race Course.

Making her first start since June 3, Jessthelouisianagirl won the first of three trials to the Kansas Futurity by a half length over Northlands Futurity(G3) winner Classy Dashin in a time of :18.097.

The Mr Jess Perry filly, was a finalist in the Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park. She is a full sister to 2002 champion aged stallion Jess Louisiana Blue.

Racing for Nancy S. McCoy the Louisiana bred filly is trained by Charley Hunt and was ridden by G.R. Carter, Jr. J.E. III, D.C. and C.T. Jumonville bred Jessthelousianagirl.

Trial Notes: Jessthelouisianagirl won the first of three trials by a half of a length over Classy Dashin to post the fastest qualifying time.






A Silver Goblin won the second of two derby trials by a neck over Kansas Bred Derby (R) runner-up Shaky Girl to set the fastest qualifying time of :20.204.

The winner of last year's Grade 2 Valley Junction Futurity at Prairie Meadows, the Royal Quick Dash gelding is one of six winners from eight starters foaled by his winning dam, Heavenly Note, who ran third in the Rainbow Futurity(G1). He is a half-brother to Upcomin Star, winner of the 2005 Rainbow Juvenile Invitational Stakes(RG3) at Ruidoso Downs.

Racing for Silver Partnership, A Silver Goblin was bred in Texas by Evans & Evans. He is trained by Charley Hunt and was ridden by G.R. Carter, Jr.
