This is Latte', I bought her as a very skinny mare in September. She has come a long way from the horse that was almost starved to death and seized by animal control in CA about a year ago. We were able to turn her loose at the dunes for a few and she loved it.

We keep one mare on the lead and turn one loose. If they get a little further out than we like, we just turn the other direction and walk off. They come right back. It is fun to watch, mostly Latte' eats!

Here is what she looked like when she went to the rescue and animal control had rehabilitated her for a few months already. I however bought her for only $250 from a lady that purchased her from the rescue. I finally get her AQHA papers next week!

Her neck is filled in and her hip has some to go, but you cannot find a rib on her anywhere!

Thanks, just goes to show what a little pasture and all the grass hay she can eat will do! I am just glad that she is turning out to be a nice ol' gal.
