hi guys. need some help here. I have a girl who wants to possibly lease my gelding out this year to show. She wants to take him to a few shows (2 or 3) before she decides if she wants to lease him or not. Does AQHA allow this? I believe they do, but im uncertain. And if they do, do I need to fill out a particular form or paperwork? and if so, can i download these forms from AQHA? thanks in advance for your advice!

If the person is am it looks like they can get a permit to show the horse in two AQHA approved shows. They have to give the dates of the show and get a permit to do this. Also, there would be no points awarded from this. I read this in the handbook pages 87 (rule 403) to page 90. They should have the forms on the site..

I saw on the AQHA convention notes that some of this may change, so before leasing, you might want to make sure about that. Not sure when or if they're going to make changes, but never fails, you know....

As far as I know the youth can do just about anything.. Not sure about that though. I used to have a youth show my weanlings and it was OK for her to do that..
