Pictures!

I needed to get some new pictures of Scotch today for our website so he got a bath and we got his first ever under saddle pictures! Here they are, western and English! This is his second time ever being saddled.

Nice. His hind end looks bigger in the English pictures, but he's looking nice.

LOL, I think he's super cute in English, but I totally agree that he prefers the western. He just puts his head down a trots off )

I am so jealous that you live somewhere that it's nice enough to be out working your horse. Mine think they're still on Christmas break. We've had rain, rain, rain here. It seems like the days it has rained have been warm and the days that are dry are cold.

I honestly believe that our horrible summers here are a great trade for being able to give my horses bathes in January Yesterday was absolutely perfect and everyone got cleaned up from the rain last weekend. It still gets pretty cool starting around 4PM and until about 9AM, but in between, we are perfect. I can wear short sleeve shirts because it's too warm for jackets!

I'm so excited, I think Scotch is going to just be one of those horses I just step on and go. His headset for western pleasure is perfect, his canter is going to need some work to slow it down, but other than that he is just super athletic. I know I'm going to do some reining on him, and even though he is NOT a cow horse, he will know what they are and be able to push them around. It is my goal that even though I am going to have him as a rail horse, he will know what trail riding and cows are. I like to have them all around )
