Emma's got some type of fungus I think. A couple days ago I noticed she has some spots of missing hair on her neck and face. So yesterday I went out and bought some shampoo called Mane and Tail Antimicrobial Medicated Shampoo that treats Rain Rot, Ringworm, Girth Itch, and other stuff too. I've also got all my brushes and anything that I think has touched her at hom getting ready to sanatize everything.
This is before her bath.
And this is after it so it's still wet.
The first 3 pics are the worse part of it.
This side of her neck isn't so bad.
The other day out at the barn I noticed Slim's lymph nodes were swollen. The next day I noticed that his cheek was a bit swollen and it was a bit sore to the touch. He's still eating and drinking normally and he's not acting any different than he normally does. His cheek was a bit puffy on the inside but not much different than on the other side.
Here's his cheek that is swollen
You can see how is it sorta swollen
It looks worse than it really is because he was making faces at me.
And now for his lymph nodes.

Yeah, try MTG, but make sure you shake it up first, the good stuff settles! I can't see the cheek swelling that much in your pictures, so it caan't be that bad. Is it tender to the touch? She also could have just banged it on something. I was asking my vet about swollen lymph nodes once and she said they just swell occasionally and there is nothing wrong, but actually I don't really completely believe her. I think they always swell for a reason in reaction to fighting some infection, even very mild.

If they've been outside in the gosh danged rain... it's probably a little bit of rain rot, or it could be from bug bites... If you can, put them up under fans - bugs are worse at dusk and dawn. It just flat won't quit raining here! Also, as Bluejay can tell ya, I wasn't rinsing Scamp down every day when I brought him up, and that sweat was playing havoc... that's almost healed.
As far as the lymph nodes... see if you can't feel back there, and see if there isn't some hay or feed stuck back up in there... if he feels like he has a temp, need to get him on some antibiotics.
This weather is just flat funky.

Last night I went to the barn. The swelling has gone down considerably on Slim. His lymph nodes are still swollen but not nearly as big as they were. I was giving him some lovin' and was scratching up under his jaw. He was in heaven, he hated it when I stoped. I was thinking abscessed tooth at first but he didn't act like he was in pain other than touching that side of the cheek. He could eat is feed and hay just fine. He doesn't feel like he has a temp either.
As for Emma she hasn't been out in the rain only in her stall but she can hang her head over the back. It could be a bit of rain rot or the stupid flies. They are pretty bad. Emma has been enjoying her baths though
