First Horse Show today!! :D:D **results and pics. 3rd post!*

It's Cisco and I's first show of the year today! yah i know..we start late haha, we only have like two shows this year. This is just a little one and if only the same people as last year come I have like one girl thats competition just because hardly anyone shows up. It's just a small (VERY small) open show of one of the county fairs around here. Cisco looks...ok? haha but I wasn't prepared for this show at all. The reins on his show bridle broke in half and the new bridle never came..so the reins don't match haha...I'll have the results and pictures tonight! VIDS too!! haha OO..and we're doing games..lmao!

We had an AWSOME day today!!! The show was small and again in the Junior group it was only me and this other girl Cassie, just like last year...kind of like a little training show. Anyways..here's the results!

Open Halter--3rd out of 6--couldn't believe this I was like, when announcing, 5th place, number 50 sara philipp...but nooo hahah yay!!!

Showmanship--1st!! (out of 2)-- he did SOO well. i have a vid of this!. I was so proud of my boy! My whole goal in life is to beat Cassie! (you know i'm kidding haha

Western Pleasure--2nd...out of 2.. he did AWSOME and was pretty slow, but he picked up the wrong lead ..actualy he did a flying change when the judge turned around and then switched back and that ruined it for us..o well i'm happy!

Horsemanship 2nd..out of 2.again WRONG LEAD BUDDY! haha

Trail...2nd out of 4! haha we MURDERED this i thought but he must not have done to bad i guess...lol


O yea....and we did games!!! AHH!! he was AWSOME? This horse can run, omg, for a pleasure horse? JEEEZES He beat my sister and her little gamer horse and my friend matt and his gamer in Barrels!!!

So ...

Barrels (rememeber all games were just for fun so do'nt laugh! -- 4th out of..6 or 7? Time I think was in the 23.4 area? sloow i know, but he ran pretty good!

Key Hole 5th out of 7? He got soo scared of those poles but ran pretty good..

Pole Bending..6th we practice pole weaving haha

We got a lot of comments on my new shirt and Cisco got comments from a couple girls there that I ride with all the time and they said he was doing awsome! I just got a phone call on him..don't think they were interested though? Just as i was typing this too! haha

Thanks guys! I like it a lot too! My hat? haha thats from like..3rd grade lol its soo old and one of those like..idk MAYBE $30 ? haha Thanks!!

You look great sara! just a couple of things i noticed..
- you might want to try to band his mane instead of braid it...IMHO it looks better, and it won't flop as much, thus making the head look quieter.
-in sms, make sure that your arms are at a 90degree angle, and that they are straight in front of you. like your carrying a tray. that way you don't get chicken arms like me, lmbo.
-for the pleasure, keep your arm to your side, and then bring it up like you have it for the pattern classes. even if you do HMS, and you have rail work too, keep it up.
-i would also put my hair up for the sms and hms. it looks cleaner, and more professional. what my trainer does it put a pony tail on top of her head, ( so it goes in the part of your hat where theres room) and wrap it around there, then, if she wants she can do the pleasure pony (lol what we call it.) by just taking it down, then it goes up easy for the hms.

but you look GREAT! and congrats on the placings!

Umm with his forelock this was the first time i've ever braided it and I just did it because its so thick when i don't its all fuzzy kinda, even when i gel it an all that..

Sara; This is how i do parker's forelock. its really thick, so the "one band" doesn't work, lol. it also keeps it to his head, and it doesn't move.
