| I've been on kind of a little vacation lately, lol, not really though. I am officially a high school graduate now, with honors. My dad bought me a new car (Nissan Altima), but thank the good lord I've got my Ford. I've been really busy job hunting lately, I've really got to find a way to get some money rolling in to help my family out, things have been in kind of a bad way lately as far as money goes. I'm going to have to sell a horse soon, which isn't really a bad thing, just kind of sad for me because of all we've gone through together. I think the lord is really watching over my family, because when it came time to make the house payment, I got a couple of nice graduation checks in the mail that just covered what they didn't have. Umm, I've been really involved with church lately, I'm a councelor at the youth group, and they've really needed me around the last few weeks. Umm, everyone is well, horses are fat and happy, just like they should be. Scotch is getting bigger and bigger by the day. He's had some much needed time off since April but he's back to work now and I think he's actually happy to be. Honestly, he was going through such a major growth spurt I didn't want to stress his poor bones anymore than they already were, so he was just fed and kept happy. I changed my feeding program around a bunch, and I like the results thus far, it works really well for us and it's a BUNCH cheaper. I haven't been able to ride since I graduated liked I'd hoped, it's just been too dang hot, it finally hit 115 yesterday and that was just miserable. Considering this isn't even our hottest month, I've got a bad feeling things are just going to get worse as far as heat goes. I decided that I want to breed Sassy to the paint stud this coming year to get another baby (hopefully a tobiano FILLY). I wanted to wait and break her to ride before breeding again, but right now, I'm trying to ride Remmy and work with him on roping, my dad is riding Nardy as much as he can to put some miles on her and get her foundation down right, then this fall, Missy is probably going off to the trainer to be started and get some cow work on her. So that's a lot, and Sassy would just be adding to that. She's got some little kinks as far as ground manners go, so I think I'll just spend the next year fitting her up for halter a little bit and teaching her to be an obedient mare. To me, it's just very important that she know how to politely let people handle her feet, clip her without a fight, lead her without any problems, just have her ground manners nice enough that a kid could handle her without problems. We're going to another AQHA show with Cherie and Star at the end of July, at WestWorld, in an enclosed arena, in the evening so horses dont get all overheated. I'll be picking me shows very carefully this summer because it's so hot. This is a little two day show we'll be hauling down too. Scotch is now really looking like an AQHA halter horse too, he's even got his little placing up on the AQHA records lol. I hope we do well there, it should be a lot of fun. I'll get some pictures up soon though. | |

| Congratulations on the graduation!! You are way too mature to only just be graduating!! That's amazing and a tribute to your upbringing! Speaking of upbringing, if that;s your mom, she looks great and your grad pix show you have inherited her beauty! As far as the Arizona heat, my daughter moved to Tucson this winter, and now she has finally started to complain about the heat! I knew it was coming and I'm sure it will get a little worse before it gets better! | |

| girl with as smart as you are and goal orientated I still think you should get your RN if you took a quick CNA class this summer most big hospitals would pay for all of your nursing school which you could kick out in 2yrs at a community college and be making some pretty good cash and work just 3 days a week very conducive to horses and showing... and CNA's while nothing glam (for sure) around here- a very bad paying state- make to start around $10.00-$12.00 an hr + benifits and shift diff.... | |
