| Okay - so, most of you know about my poor little filly...who was leased to a lady who did NOT feed her!!! Soo... Here are pictures: Before she left: When I checked in on her in March: Now (yes, I know there is barbed wire, but it was the only place I had at the time to move her to...now I HAVE to find a new place for her since she is PLAYING again!) Sooo - I know she has a long way to go...but I'm THRILLED that she is doing better...now just to find a new place for the munchkin!!! | |

| She does look better.. Thank God. She looks healthy too.. I have a friend who did a lease thing and it turned out really bad.. The mare foaled and both died. The foal was red bag and the mare was so drawn down she could not recover.. Skin and bones.. The mare had to be put down and the foal never got up. I am glad you got her out of there and have her on her way back up. I do not lease my horses.. People are mosty not cracked up to be who and what they say they are.. It took me years to figure out that what is good to some one else is not what is good to me.. She will be all the way back in no time. Bless her heart.. | |

| I've always had really good experiences with leases...
I've leased a couple (broodmares) and have leased out a few (geldings)... Every experience up until this one was GREAT!
I'm just THRILLED I got her back!

| Wow, she looks tons better! Great job! I wouldn't worry about the barbed wire... Lordy, most of our horses when we were kids were in barbed wire... never had anything happen yet (knocking on wood here).... Fantastic! I'm sure she's glad to be home! | |

| She is starting to get some shine back to her. So she must be starting to feel better. You could always run a hot wire. I had a horse cut her leg off on straight wire. So its not only the barb wire that hurts. They would find a way to hurt themselves in a padded stall. She is a pretty mare Kid. | |

| Kidd, you have been lucky on your leases.. The girl I am talking about even had this mare close to keep an eye on her.. She also has a bunch of horses she cannot take care of and rather then give them to good homes she does stuff like this and everyone of her deals have been bad ones..
You have to keep in mind her horses look much like your girl did when she was down.. Drives me crazy. They are accross the road and I have to look at them everyday standing out there in that mud. They do feed them. But, they have no money so the feed they get is crapy. And, that is when they have the money to feed them.. The mare that died was in bad shape when she was bred. She was a TB and a hard keeper. And, the gal accross the street was just too lazy to follow up. She did the same thing with a gelding. When she went to get him he was thin, standing in 3 ft of mud and all beat up.. She just never learns..
