I haven't felt great for a week. Sneezing, slightly swollen glands. I figured it was allergies. Then yesterday, the whole right side of my face swelled up!!!!!!!! Hurt like crazy!!!!!!!!!! I called my dr....She said to come right in. She looked at me.....and said....."Do you mind if my husband looks at you"? He's a dentist.....They share the office. The next thing I know, my mouth is full of novacaine.....and he's ripping out my back bottom molar!!!!!!!!!!!!! The swelling started to go down right away, and I called off from work last night.......I'm sure they are po'd

So....It hurts....I have pain killers lol! lol! I better get the pasture pals fed.......

Poor girl!! Well, lucky you were able to get it taken care of right away with the doctor/dentist combo! That's handy. I would have suspected allergies too this time of year and, believe me, a tooth problem can flare up quickly and very painfully! Are they going to put a crown or something else in there now? They always say when you extract a tooth you better put something back in or it shifts your teeth alll around and can cause way more problems. That happened to my husband .

Thanks....Unfortunately, all of my teeth will eventually have to go. My teeth are fine....But I have osteoporosis of the jaws.....also spine and ribs. There are definately dentures in my future. Probably not for another year or so.

Well, looks like you and I were doing the same thing yesterday... 'cept mine wasn't hurting. I'd chipped a tooth and I have that blasted gum disease crap... where the bone or whatever is getting exposed...and I wanted to get that sucker pulled before it did start hurting!

Took for freaking ever to get the novacaine to finally work... and it took all of 2 minutes to get that tooth out... I said are you frue? with cotton in my mouth? Yep, no biggy. And yep, I did the same thing you did, took some knock-out medicine and went to bed! HA! Just in case!

Hope you're feeling better though... I just feel like I have a crater in my mouth...

OK....Here's one for a good laugh!!!!! I feel like dirt....Can't take my pain killers at work. I couldn't stand it any more.....I told the asst manager that I had to leave. (3 hrs early) He basically said I couldn't do it, that I would get a "coaching" if I left....and I could be fired. What a jerk!!!!!! (The little pin-head lives across the street from me) He's just a kid. He says it won't do any good to bring a note from my dr....Company policy says that there is no such thing as an "excused absence". Yup!!!! If you're in a car wreck on your way to work....Too bad. I think I'll go to my dr today....get a note....and take a 10 day medical LOA. In you face pin-head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This particular company is really bad about stuff. Three absences, for any reason, in a 6 month period, and you're most likely to be fired. While you are working, you're not supposed to talk about anything except the store/work. One night last summer, I was standing in a line, waiting for my turn to get at a pallet of over-stock...A gal and I were talking about Girl Scouts. A supervisor saw us and said...."If you two aren't talking about "store name", you can shut the %&$# up"!!!!!!!! This same guy has also called me lazy and stupid. He's just a kid!!!!!!!! It's funny....They treat us like we're in a prison. They call out all the breaks and lunch.

Believe me, there may be smiley faces all over that store....But the employees aren't smiling.

I felt so bad when I left, I didn't even bother to ask for my pay check.

I have to force myself to go to work every night.
