first show

Ok so yesterday was Star's first show. I must say, this little filly impressed me!!! And everyone around her. She didnt freak out and scream like a crazy horse. The only time she screamed was when i walked away to go to the bathroom. but one i got back she was quiet. Well the halter class that we were in was for all ages of mares. There was a total of 6 mares. we placed 4th. Even the judged wanted to know how old she was. But i didnt care how we placed. i just want to get her exposed to as many shows as possible so once shes broke to ride she wont freak out!!!! i went to the show by myself and i forgot my camera!!! so i didnt get any pictures!!! booo on me. but this weekend we are goign to the AQHA show in benson so ill have Silverbuckle get some pictures of Star and myself!!!

That's awesome she did so well, congrats! Believe me, I wish someone had exposed my horse to showing, etc. before he was broken. Definitely took some getting used to-major freak outs, etc. My trainer said 5-8 shows and they'll usually be totally chilled with it...so your little filly is just light years ahead! Seems like some just adapt easier, anyways.

See, lol, I told you she wasn't a major wild child lol. She's just very diva-ish. All Silver Buckle babies are like that ;o) I'm really so happy you're happy with her, she's gonna make a heck of a nice horse under saddle. Good job on the 4th place! Just think, the rest of the year is just going to be better and better! I'll definetly get pictures for everyone at the Benson show. I haven't seen her in a while, can't wait!
