PostSubject: Riding Mellow Yellow   Riding Mellow Yellow Icon_minitimeApril 12th 2007, 10:51 pm

she's my reining mare ... and yes I know when we're cantering I move my hand but there are a number of reasons. 1. because it encourages her to go. 2. because I get off her back and it makes her a lil bouncier lol 3. because my stupid reins kept getting caught in the saddle ahaha.

and she gets more excited turning to the right ... and she gets a bit hoppy sometimes lol ... she's getting over that lol. Razz

and I rode her bareback in the last bit. I haven't ridden her bareback in a super long time. and I've never gone that fast bareback ahah, but we still had some good speed changes. She was soo good lol.

and no she isn't unhappy, I know she flicks her tail because she's working, she always does it, and she puts her eyes back (not pinned) because she is running fast, and isn't a fan of the wind in her ears lol.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VoeBhcuyCc --- sorry some parts are a lil dark I even lightened them but they went a lil dark again ... so its a lil hard to see at points. grrrrrrrrr

so what do you think aha. I have a big bulky winter jacket on because it was chilly tonight, so it doesn't make either of us look pretty lol

I kept waiting for the sliding stop. Makes me want to get on the phone and holler at Lynn and say, hey, get me a reiner! HA!

I love the mare, absolutely gorgeous! I'm not a big fan of palamino, but she is very well put together in all areas! A real looker!

The only thing I can see is you keeping your arms and hands a bit more still - unless she's still in training, where you need to exaggerate everything little thing, which is totally understandable.

I also love the sidepassing at an angle - that is one thing I really enjoyed doing with my paint mare.

Other than that, I'm still waiting on the sliding stop! HA!

Looks good, looks good, and a whale of a mare!

Ahaha Thanks guys!!

7Cedars - She is in training, but she's a finished me, we split training between her and bernie, but that hand, I know. I actually don't like it either ahah, I don't even realize its that bad ahahha. Something to work on!!! and Those slides, yes, I'll have some for you after the first show which is April 28 & 29th. I don't slide her really other then from a trot without my trainer. I don't want to mess up ahah.

and we just started working on half passing with her a few weeks ago, we're doing a lot of side passing and half passing and its making her much softer Very Happy

And

Triple J QHs - she has two babies on the ground now and one next year Razz ... you can see if you can buy one of them ahha. Razz Razz
