To induce labor in a mare?
Take a nap
To cure equine constipation?
Load them into a clean trailer.
To cure equine insomnia?
Take them in a halter class.
To get a horse to stay very calm and laid back?
Enter them in a liberty class.
To get horse to wash their own feet?
Clean the water trough and fill it with fresh water.
To get a mare to come in heat?
Take her to a show.
To get a mare in foal the first cover?
Let the wrong stallion get out of his stall.
To get a show horse to set up perfect and really stretch?
Get him out late at night or anytime no one is around to see him.
To make it rain?
Mow a field of hay.
To make a small fortune in the horse business?
Start with a large one!

All too true...especially about the trailering and the sleeping in halter. I don't think I've been to a show yet where Rudy hasn't crashed during halter. At least he stays set up?

lol. Clara does that too. She's so cute... I will still try to get her ears up, and she'll do it for me but keeps her eyes closed. It's like she's trying to look alert but just can't seem to hold up those eyelids. (Kind of like me in class sometimes! lol)
Thanks for sharing, Cindy. All so true!! I especially love the last one.

Haha, glad to know someone else has an insomniac horse! I've tried flicking the lead at his nose, just so his eyes aren't completely shut, but to no avail!
