He's gone :(

Well my dog is gone. He was a 10 (would be 11 in July) year old male Border Collie ... he had congestive heart failure ... even when his heart was twice the size it should be he was such a champ and was always happy. He was all excited when he was in the vets office this morning ... and I know he went a very happy dog. He went right away, no noises or anything. It was nice because I was right there with him, it makes me feel so much better. I only sad because I'll miss him, not because he's gone because I know he isn't in pain anymore. In 10 days we'll get his urn back.

im sorry for you but he a happy dog now with no pain,we to lost our great dane but early last year with Heart Failure.He was 10 years old and will always be in our hearts. Then we had another blow and lost out Dogue De Bordeaux to cancer,she only had 2 weeks to live without chemo or she had 3 months with.We let her go peacefully without the chemo and no pain.

Time is a great healer i feel for you:(

thanks ... and ya they are great dogs .... my mom said when im in uni and living in a place where they allow pets she'll buy me another dog ... so I think I might end up with another border collie ... we'll see
