25-1!!!!

Well, my son's team did make it to the Breslin Center, but they lost to Detroit Country Day in the semifinals and didn't get to play in the finals. Country Day ended up winning the whole thing, but they recruit their players from all over Detroit and offer scholarships, so it's practically a college team! My son had a great time and a great game, and his 6'5" self blocked several shots off their 6'11" center who will be writing his own ticket to the college of his choice next year! Plus Joe Dumars son (former Detroit Pistons star who is general manager of the Pistons) has a son that plays for Country Day so we got to meet him. All in all, it was a great experience fo our little country boys and we almost beat them. The final score was 49-42, just a few missed shots off!

You know, I was thinking about that this last week, wondering what was up. I'm just so glad they got all that experience, and your son was part of it. I betcha that was one heck of a game, and to have lost only by a few points must be disappointing, but hey, they hung with the big boys!!!

Wow they got far though! Congrats to them! Sounds like everyone had a good time, ya win some you loose some...sounds like they won a lot more though!! Hey, at least they lost to the winning team!
