| I'm looking for one too - but not cheap, I want a Kathys and I'm really looking for the silver pattern with the gold floral border deal. I'd prefer congress cut, but this filly has a very refined head, so I think a regular cut would work as well.
reining chick - not sure what you're looking to spend, but I have a billy royal with the tags still on it (if the guy who took it to try it on his gelding doesn't end up buying it). I want $150 + shipping (no lead) |

| My friend bought a mare-sized one off ebay, and it's ok. Kinda a ya-get-whatcha-pay-for deal, IMO. It's nice, and nothing embarrassing to show in at open shows (which is all she does anyways). However, on really close inspection, it's cheap silver/silver substitute, and the leather's not the best quality. I splurged and bought a horse sized show halter at AQHYA world...it's a Billy Royal and I love it to death. But I did get a slight discount cause one of the lady's saddles fell on my head! | |

| I think I got mine from Schneider's last year and paid less than $100 and it looks great. Used it once, and will use it again this year. Bad thing about yearling halters, same as with weanlings, they grow out of them awfully fast. I won't spend a lot of money on any show halter, except for the full grown ones. | |

Yes, yearling size, congress cut, dark oil. I'll see if I can pull up a picture..... edit to add: The halter was originally marked $425 - one of the silver pieces on the half moon is screwed on too high, but it's not really a noticable thing. If I end up using it I'm going to repunch the holes and then silicone it. Here's a stock photo: and an upclose of the silver pattern |

I'll call Russ when I got out of work and see what they're doing. He took it home Saturday night to try on his gelding and just left me a message Sunday and said he wanted to "talk to me" about it. I have a feeling he wants to offer less, which I won't do. I'm only asking what I paid for it, if I'm gonna lose money then I'd rather keep it But we'll see. I'll let you know tonight/tomorrow morning what they decided. |

| I lucked out and bought a weanling halter off someone who didn't want to show babies anymore. It also fits our Shetland, Mikey. I got a yearling halter that happens to fit Tony, our Welsh perfectly. Double duty items are great, but at open shows I do a lot of halter changes. | |
