My friends pregnant mare(she due in May)keeps mounting her other mare.Is this normal.My friend reckons she going to have a colt cause of this lol! ,flippin male hormones

I had a mare that acted lke a stallion. This is not all that uncommon.. She would even make stallion sounds.. She did have a colt though... affraid scratch Wink

sometimes that is a result of a cyst on the ovaries I;ve read about it but it could very well be hormones! Shocked silly mares

I have had mares mount one another.... but not pregnant ones.

Just like Superlope said, that can be one cause.... however, the pregnant mare could just be mounting her because the other mare is in heat, and she has all those crazy pregnant hormones going on....?
