I'm thinking about raising a few of the mini breed. Horse market is so bad I might as well try something else. So do any of you have any. Think of all the cute little mini steaks I could serve. I would get some beef ones and then I would like the pet breed. The Zebu/longhorn for pets and a beef breed for my table. But the Highlanders are sure cute. Then in the end I probably wouldnt be able to eat them.

lol! Tha gal next door had some and a kid that used to work for me raised them. Her folks did anyway.. Too small a steak for me though.. lol!

I hear there are people raising beef and calling them "green beef".. They are getting huge price for them on the hoof.. With all the stuff that goes in to the meat you buy at the market, people are willing to pay a high price for something that has not been fed the unartural stuff. study

They say you can raise three for the price of one normal cow. I'm hoping that my hubby gets back to work soon. I have two kids laid off now so I might have to hold off for awhile on my cow venture. I think I'm gonna have to be helping them out. I hope my daughter can keep her job. But she said micro soft is cutting back again also. This is the time family is gonna have to pull together. Actually its an eye opener on how much family means. I have tried to tell them to get prepared for the up coming but they just dont get it. But I think now their eyes are open a little wider.

I am sure things will come back around for you. Just hang in there and don't let it get to you. pray ily

Good thing you can raise three of those mini cows for the price of one. You will need to serve 3 steaks to make one.. Laughing
