| Stepping out of lurkdom to say hi from Alberta. I have been involved with horses over 30yrs,starting with an AQHA mare I trained & showed in my youth.Showed AQHA primarily Barrels, poles & trail. After schooling & married got our own acreage, hmm funny how the horse population tends to grow about 12yrs ago had Bred my AQHA mare to APHA,that started us involved with the painted variety.Started to show APHA a few years later but just showed in Halter & got into breeding some APHA horses. Well as of lately we have downsized on the breeding thing i'm finding my way back to my beginnings with wanting just a few horses that we can trail ride & maybe one to show.I have one for training now that I hope to get out as my Nov Ammy horse.Excited & want to get back riding but at same time am very nervous about getting back after 20+ yrs since I showed in performance classes. That me in a nutshell, So for my 4 legged friends We are at 6 horses,3 dogs,3 cats. | |

| so did you find it hard going back to the ring"riding"?? I've been away a little longer than you & know I need some major brushing up on my riding skills. That & the fact i'm not going to be riding a been there done that horse but one of my home grown that will be fresh from training so NEW for both of us. The filly in my avatar is now 3 & that will be my partner! The past riding I've done has been mostly fun trail riding stuff & prior to that the Barrel/poles stuff Have been showing Halter & watch alot of the performance classes but actually doing WP,HUS & showmanship will be a learning curve. | |

| Welcome, You will have your cheering section right here! Set your mind to it and you can do anything. Isn't that what we are always telling our kids. As long as you have fun I think thats all that matters. But you wouldn't catch me doing it.(ha) I'm not even brave enough to do halter. I would get out there and trip or something. But I'm a really good cheerleader so I will cheer you all on. By the way if you have any foals pics are a must. I just love looking at everyones pretty horses! | |

| HELLO, well, I am too old and fat to ride. And, I don't like the way they ride.. We like to do the weanling halter futurities and then sell em and get ready for a few new ones next year. Things being what they are I mean just one or two foals. I am cutting my heard down to just pets I think.. Welcome | |
