Doing "around the world"




Taegan normally feeds oats, then leaves for the house as soon as she is allowed. With this pony, she was riding up and down the barn aisle while I mucked out stalls, bareback with just the halter and lead. She groomed the heck out of her, braided her mane, fed her carrots, sat on her some more. I had to almost drag her out of the barn.
We were having problems due to lessons coming up and her not wanting to ride any other horse than Freckles. Although we've hauled mares with foals, including Freckles, to lessons before, I was trying to persuade her to pick one of our other horses. Since we have one of our other critters sold and a deposit on another, we let her have this pony. Lilly is about 12.2hh (they measured her, I haven't), she's a welsh x, and has been trail ridden as well as used in an arena. Seems good so far. If it is nice tomorrow, we will go for a bit of a trail ride.

She looks like she is in love with her new pony. The pony doesnt look like she really cares about anything. She is cute to boot!

What a sweet pair!!!!!! Reminds me of my daughter, Christine, and her quarter pony, Penny. Hang on to those moments as long as you can. They are gone in a flash!!!!!
