| He's in an awkward growing stage, but I see a steep croup and he looks a bit frog hammed to me. What were you hoping to do with him? | |

| your side shot isn't doing the colt justice since he isn't square and you can't see his neck or jowl... he looks like he has some definate potential would like to see some better pics of him after a good worming (his tail dock makes me think worms), possibly an overhaul of his nutrition and some TLC. I think he has some flash will draw alot of attention and that white will make you work hard lol, is he gelded, is he a tri, roan or chestnut cant really tell from the pics? | |

I havent heard that term. Isnt it funny how we use differant terms for differant things. Terms that have been passed down to us from our lets grandparents? Big slope to his croup. Looks like he is straight legged too. Girl, Girl do you know how hard it is going to be to keep all the white clean! Hee Hee.. I agree with Bluejay, Id see a big change in this feeding program if he were mine. | |

| he needs a ration balancer designed for the type of hay you feed and a good mineral block and salt block free choice start there. I like gro n win with either their gro n win mineral block and then a white salt block or moorman gro strong (moormans is probably the best mineral Ive ever seen). The truth is most of the ration balancers are pretty comperable any more and I think Buckeye isn't as good as they used to be but still an excellent choice. Purina makes a good one and Progressive is ok (not my favorite) pm me and I would be happy to talk nutrition with you if you want to talk. I saw a great program with Moormans and it talked about forage and the role it plays, fats, protein etc... and have sat in on some really interesting lectures I love equine nutrition it facinates me. | |

| I would have to be honest here about this colt. His neck ties in TERRIBLE.. Way to low and sloppy looking. His hip looks high because he is standing with the other foot cocked.. I would not consider him at all for halter.. He also looks like he may have a club like hoof. But, I also like a good project. He looks like a project. Worming and nutrition will help. But, my guess is he will never make it to the halter pen. I am only guessing but I think he will be short when he is done.. He could turn out to just be a fun horse to ride and that is what really counts. Just my opinion and that really means nothing. He is not a prospect I would consider. As I am sure some of mine are not what you would consider. I hope you pick him up, give him some love, feed him right and take care of him. Our horses should mean much more to us then just what we can do with them. Or, what they can do for us. | |

| What I mean by frog hammed is how his butt ties into his gaskin. I like it looking less "tied in". I have trouble explaining it, but it's just a personal preference. I suppose it's due to the type of horses i like. | |
