Tomorrow, Friday, Pep goes to the vet to get gelded. His appointment is at 9am. I'm having major second thoughts, but I'm standing firm. He'll be a great gelding and Brennen will be able to use him for 4-H and showing. And he'll be able to live like a real horse. I've got him turned out so that he has a common fence line with the geldings. He spends most of his time hanging out at the corner with them. Soon he will be turned out with them. Hopefully he doesn't have any complications and all goes well.

It's done. Pep is now a gelding. All went well. He whinnied at me when I went into the barn this morning, but he was laying down. He will not be impressed with me this afternoon. My vet's order is to ride him everyday, regardless of the weather. At a trot. If it gets too bad I will go to the indoor arena. We're haing pretty cold temps right now.
I'd rather not go to the close arena if I don't have to. They come into the arena when you're trying to ride and watch. The one boarder is the biggest gossip I have ever met, so I try to avoid the place. We're keeping Pep being a gelding all hush hush for now. It'll come out when Brennen shows up as lessons with him.
