Brennen kept telling her how great the new 4-H club he joined is and how there are a bunch of kids her age there. So she decided she wanted to check it out. I called the head leader and she told me to bring Taegan along and she could ride in the lesson and see how she liked it.
She brought Freckles and the two of them moped around the arena as slow as they could go. After her lesson Brennen rode and Taegan got to play with the kids. She loved it.
Today we went to a fundraiser, it was a bottle drive. In Saskatchewan they pay you to recycle pop cans and bottles and such (well, you pay a deposit when you buy them, so you're just getting it back). She played and at the end, decide she really likes this club.
So, I have now written 2 checks for $150 each, post dated for June 1st. If each kid doesn't do 70% of fundraisers, the checks gets cashed. Brennen's 4-H fees were $113 and Taegan's were $93. Brennen's are more because he is also doing a young horse project. Plus, the other club is $80 each. 4-H is gonna cost me a fortune this year
Because apart from the registration fees, there is a pile of driving. But, the lessons are included in those prices, so if you figure it out, the fees are cheap for what you get.
I had trouble getting any pics of Brennen riding because this camera doen't like it once it gets a bit dark.
Taegan & Freckles are the ones in pink. It was starting to get cold. She was told to get a warm sweater, but didn't. What feels warm at 5 is different that what feels warm at 8.
Brennen standing in front of bags of recycling. The pile looked much more impressive in person.
A whole truck load of empty beer bottles. Apparently they usually get two truck loads.
