AND THE VERDICT IS.............?

The trainer spent 2 hours with me and Tucker. Tucker behaved like a gentleman.....I gyped him....Crawed over him bareback.....Rode him around..... Larry says He doesn't think Tucker is trying to hurt me....He thinks of me as a playmate. His "cavorting" at me is more like an invitation to play. He doesn't realize that he can hurt me.

Larry also said that I have to stop the baby talk. I demonstrated for him. He said that he could see Tucker's expression change....He thought I was inviting him to romp and play. So.....I did what he said.....And Tucker acted like the machine I rode at Larry's place.

Tucker stays....Baby talk goes.

Tucker and I are doing great. I've never had a horse that reacted like that to baby-talk......and it's not really baby-talk......Just telling him he's a g"boy....stuff like that. Larry also said to watch his reaction to his name. That can be a trigger too. He said we might want to just call him, Commander. We usually call him Tucker, or Commander Tucker. (after a guy on Enterprise)

I finally got my trailer tags today....The trainer is taking me on some trail rides, etc til the weather gets too cold to ride. I've been riding a couple of his horses....He has a tall grey gelding that sure would be nice for English classes. Larry ropes off him.

The camera is charged....Hubby was going to help me yesterday....But Saturday he came home with a new monster-sized ATV. Just what we need. By the way, it's in my loafing-shed. When he got home from work today, he got off his motorcycle and went straight to the ATV, then tore around in my pasture. He's definately in his 2nd childhood.

The horses aren't the least bit concerned about the ATV.
