| Hey Kay, I can't remember who it was, but somebody told me be careful. All that white makes their legs look quick. Did you sell your mare? | |

| The second one bobs his head too much for my liking. I know from experience that youtube videos sometimes make horses look they are more quick legged than they really are | |

| I liked them. I was thinking the first one would make Brennen a lovely all around horse. I would like to see a freer lope, but I know that the way the horses are moving on the video is what is winning. The farther I watched into the video, the more I liked the second horse. Did you say that was your horse? Please keep in mind that I'm into the reining/cutting/cow horses, I'm no pleasure expert, so I'm used to a lot more go, a a little less slow. lol | |

| Kay,
I think overall I like the first horse better. My initial impression was that I liked the 2nd one better, but after watching the videos, I think I like the first one a little better. I watched all the videos that they had on the first horse. Which one are you leaning toward? YOu know I'm just giving you a hard time about the white legs...I love all the chrome. Denise

| Ok the second horse has his AQHA ROM in pleasure, I think he just needs to be driven under himself more, collected and moved forward. The first horse, well, he seems springy, bouncy. sort of. Ive sent these two videos to a trainer friend of mine. Im waiting for him to answer me. The bay horse, he has been shown AQHA with no luck. the sorrel horse, well, he has his ROM, so it tells me at one time, he could hit a lick. Just Needs to be finished and taught to move correctly again, and not just be slow. Im looking for a fun horse. the price tag,, Are you ready?? Number 1 horse, 10,000.00 Wants 2000.00 to boot. (Knows showmanship) Number 2 horse 15,000.00 Will trade even! Does not, will have to be trained showmanship.
Ok, Now what do you think?

| Well, you know I'm a tightwad. I would probably want the one that was going to cost me least out of my pocket. I agree with what you said about the bay looking springy at the trot, but I think he looked better at the lope than the sorrel. However, if the sorrel has his ROM, he probably just needs some refreshing. What about temperament on both horses? I know you cant really tell from a 30 second video, but it looked like the sorrel was doing a little more tail swishing and ear pinning when asked to move off. The bay looked like he was just plodding along doing what he was asked.
Are you leaning toward the sorrel?

| I had the same impression regarding the ears and tail swishing on the sorrel. And some head shaking. | |

| Sorrel is more lazy. 4 years old Has An ROM Has not been with a Trainer for 2 years, she is doing this one her own, he was a bosal horse, She has taken it apon herself to train him to cross over to a bit. Light Mouthed Bay, has more motor Has been with a trainer since 2, the trainer is rideing him.
I agree, that the sorrel needs to lope more freely. His head needs to come back some, But dont you think this is fixable?????
The bay, 4 years old, I like him, he more broke, but is this as good as he can get, if he has been with a trainer for 2 years??????
Come on guys help me here, they are to far away to go ride, as my mare is. So they are getting her with out the ride optoin too. We have agreed though that we will meet 1/2 way to help each other with fuel prices.
I have another option. 8 year old mare, Weaver, 1.5 pleasure points, Owned by an AQHA Judge. Has not been shown for 5 years. Like her attention, demands it. Bit of a pickle. Congress level loper and trotter. This judge has not been able to get her out, due to judgeing to much. Out of World champion.

| Kay,
I think the sorrel's issues are fixable. And, you're right. If the bay has been in training for 2 years, he's probably as good as he's gonna get. As far as the 8 yr old mare goes, I don't mind a little 'tude from the mares wanting attention, but the weaving would drive me crazy. I've never had a weaver, but there is one that comes to our fair every year. I hate to watch her.

| Too much tail swishing on the bays. Course, if I had a fake tail attatched to my butt I would do the same thing (try to get it off) .The first one holds his head really nice. Moves just a little too fast. The second one bobs the head, nose too low and too much tail swishing. Moving just a little too fast. I personally like the red one the best. Too fat but that can be fixed. I think that horse moves very nicely and you can hardly tell it's jogging it's so slow.. Very nice horse.. And, if white makes them look like they are going faster that one must have been standing still.. Yes the red one needs a little work on shaping up. But as far as it goes that one is the better mover then the bays.. With all that said. My opinion of the pleasure horse is not very high. I like a horse to move out and not move in a way that is natural to it.. Frankly I find it as much fun as watching paint dry.. I know if you want to compete you have to go this way.. So, back off sisters.. I thought they were all lame when I went to a horse show after not seeing one for years.. I don't like it and it seems to come down too many times as how nice you are out fitted since they all look the same.. BLAH BLAH BLAH.. | |

| Ok, Ok News update. You all will think Im nuts here but! Im going with... Ta Da.. The sorrel that yes, cribs. Going to town to by a Mircle collar. He wears nothing now. and she says he really does not bite down, he sucks on it like a baby fooler. We'll see. He loves the cloth Stall guard. Hmmmm I think I will get him one of those, roller things and stick it up for him. See how he likes it, Got ahold of my trainer, And he picked the sorrel. Says he is very fixable, He said it looked like just as he wants to hit a lick she pulls him and makes him, slow down. Soooo All is good there. This is what I told Denibum, "Im getting the Gelding, The lady called and said her deal fell threw, The horse she was trading for, would not vet check. So, now she wants to trade again! Im getting him on Saturday. I figure if this horse has an ROM, has never even been with an trainer, Well. Why not, I wont be any worse off then I am now. At least he would be more marketable. So Ill go to Rural King, buy the white chalk spray by the case! You know Im not happy about this Mrs. Thing.. Hee hee BUT on the up side, his special made, 345.00 tail goes with him!" | |

| As far as how he goes under saddle I think he was far the better of the three.. Needs to loose a few pounds... Maybe he does not crib at all. Some people call chewing cribbing. I have many beavers in my barn. They do not suck wind though.. If he is just sucking on things to kill time he could be board as well. Mine chew when they are board. Mine also dig down through the footing in the arena and lick the dirt.. They will stand for a long time just licking away.. Most of my horses have white on them. Tommy has four high white socks. They are not hard to keep clean and really look nice when you show them. I use the whtie chalk for the face and love the white spray for the legs.. We do expect pictures.. | |
