| He's 6 weeks old now. And I was reading about the sworls and if its true I'm in trouble because this guy is covered in them. But he is the nicest stud colt I have had. More laid back and friendly. I ha vent put a halter on him yet so I might be in for a real treat. He poked his nose and was put on antibiotics for infection and its right where the halter would be so I'm waiting for that to heal. And on his color I'm sticking with Buckskin. | |

| awww he's adorable! And what "sworls" do you refer to? As for his color... he is most definetly pally, not buckskin. he has mud on his legs yes, but no black hair, and his mane is not black. ALL true buckskins mane's are born black and stay that way. Some get frosting as they age, but it is never a creamy white. | |

| The had an article in Horse and Rider on sworls (cowlicks). Some people buy horses due to where the sworls are located. But interesting to say the least. As for the colts color I have alot of people still saying Buckskin. He has black in his tail and black hairs in his mane. And the roots look awfully black. Just so he sheds in time to register him. One vet said Choc. Pali and the other guessed Bucky. | |

| I still say paly. Bucks have black points. He does not.. He may get color in his mane and tail.. Paly is not always white.. He does not even resemble a buck. And, yes I have had a few bucks and paly's.. His coat is not sworled either.. He could turn out brindle though.. | |

| I don't agree with that article on sworls. Cletus has one sworl dead center in his forehead and he's one of the biggest goofball horses I've ever owned. | |

| Whatever color he is, he sure is cute! His front end should really turn out nicely as he gets older!
I'm leaning on Pally with his color, I just don't see the buckskin there. When Scotch was a baby, he didn't have the dark legs, he got those as he got older, but his mane and tail were always black. But we'll see! There was a time he got so dark I thought he was BAY! | |
