OK, I feed my horses pelleted feed but want to try oats. I did give them three way before and they didnt like it but I'm sure it was because they are used to pelleted. But what kind of oats is the best to feed, whole, crimped ect..?

I prefer crimped or rolled. They can get more out of them and you definately see less come out in their manure.

We feed whole simply because they are less money a bag. We also buy the feed grade. Now, the ones we get are just as clean as the cleaned oats. But, they are not all like that and some feed grade are really dirty.

We add crimped oats to the growth formula for our babies. The adults get a formula.
